Barcelona: Chocolate with Damned gelato and running street vendors

This is another funny translation fail.  It was a gelato flavor.  In Barcelona, the gelato is great, everywhere, and affordable. It comes in many many flavors. I’m not sure I’d recommend Smurf flavor though, shown below.

While walking around Barcelona, you’ll see lots of gelato shops, and lots of these guys called manteros (for the blanket he puts his wares on, “la manta” in Spanish). They generally are selling knock-off bags, clothing and other accessories. Notice that there is a rope tied to each corner of the blanket. That is so that if the police come, he can just grab the whole blanket’s contents quickly and run.
