I’m currently looking for a good Mediterranean cruise without a bunch of sea days (please send suggestions), and saw this quote.
When you travel, even on a cruise with an itinerary, things can change. The port stop may be shortened. The excursion you want to go on is full or not as expected. The trip you plan on is not always what you get.
You aren’t in full control of your trip. And I think that prevents some people from traveling. But sometimes those deviations are what results in the best experiences.
Making friends when trapped in the rain. Exploring that little known city you ended up in. Finding a quaint restaurant when on a stressful trip. Sometimes the things you don’t plan are the experiences that you remember most.
