Panama – what to see and do

Panama is a beautiful and colorful country, and well worth a visit. There are beaches along both sides of the country. And, because of the S shape of the country, you can look west over the Atlantic Ocean, and later in the day, look east over the Pacific Ocean.

There is marvelous wildlife of all types through much of the country. One of my favorites was the leaf-cutter ants. You can see more about them at the Biomuseo, as well as many other interesting animals. There is also a lot of fun geography information there.

Of course, the most famous thing in Panama is probably the Panama Canal. You can visit several locks, or even cruise the Canal. Further, you can check out the Panama Canal Museum and Panama sign in Panama City.

While the Panama Canal is the most amazing man-made structure there, There are many other wonderful things to see, such as the Bahai Temple.

The roads in the main parts of the country that are visisted by tourists are very good and well labelled. However, individual streets in cities are not well labelled. There is some public transportation – as well as Uber ride sharing.

If you are flyting back to the US, check out my info about Tacumen Airport.
