Panama Canal Museum and PANAMA sign
The Panama Canal Museum is in the old part of Panama City. It costs $10 to enter (at this time). It has many pictures of and documents from the building of the Panama Canal and explains the engineering feat it was. If you find engineering miracles interesting, you will enjoy the impressive collection here. Only some of the information is translated into English but there is an English audio tour available. Some of the historical documents are in English as well. No pictures are allowed.
The location is right near the National Cathedral and Square and near other beautiful old buildings in the old city, which are worth a visit if you are in the area.
The Panama sign is along the Panama Bay walk in the modern part of town. The walk along the pedway is beautiful, but the Panama sign is the main draw.
