Learning languages abroad
The best way to learn a language is to actually use it. So many people travel and learn the local language while they are away.
There are two main ways to earn a language in a foreign country. You can either take a class, which can be quick but expensive, or you can live in the country for a while and pick up the language. Either way, you can either learn the basics or become fully fluent in a longer time.
If you don’t have the kind of money to pay for a multi-week immersion class, you can still learn a language for much less cost, although a bit slower. For example, you could volunteer in a foreign country, be an au pair, teach English in a foreign country, work on a foreign farm through WWOOF – World-Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms (which gives free room and board for several hours of work on the farm each day).
