Lions, jackals, and hyenas in the Maasai Mara (Kenya)
One of the most well known parks in Kenya, the Maasai Mara (also simply called The Mara) is a savannah area populated by the Maasai (the addition of the word mara meaning spotted with trees, which accurately describes much of the landscape). It is on the border of Tanzania (the Serengeti is the continuation of the parkland on the other side).
In addition to the Maasai families that live here, there are many popular animals here. One of the most spectacular is the lion. Here are just a few of my lion pics from this park.
