Jama Masjid – New Delhi, India
In Old Delhi, you can find India’s largest mosque (holding up to 85,000 people!). It was commissioned by Shah Jahan, builder of the Taj Mahal, in the mid-17th century. The minarets have marvelous views of Old Delhi and New Delhi beyond. As expected, this is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Right next door is Chandni Chowk which is the largest market in New Delhi. In this market, you will find many different alleys that sell primarily one type of item, whether it be fabric, parathas, or plastic wear.
