Paris’ Basilica de Sacré-Cœur
Sacre Coeur means Sacred Heart, and the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris is at the highest point of the Montmartre area of Paris. There is a steep climb up the front wide steps to the travertine building or you can take a funicular that runs up the hill to the left side of the stairs. You can see this well in the miniature of Sacre Coeur from Mini-Europe in Brussels at the bottom of the page.
The views from the Basilica are wonderful with the Eiffel Tower in the distance.
When I was there, there were also some of those frozen people there. Charlie Chaplin and I’m not sure what the other one is.
