Belvedere Palace

Belvedere Palace is set in a large garden park (it was at one point even referred to as the Garden Palace), and has an art museum inside, where you can see artwork displayed in original palace rooms.

Schonbrunn

Schonbrunn is as beautiful as should be expected of the summer palace for the Habsburg dynasty. With over 1400 opulent rooms, and fountains, and gardens, and monuments, it is the one palace you should go to if you are short on time.

Hofburg

Another Habsburg residence, this was their main palace and is in central Vienna. Now it holds governmental offices. You can easily visit many of the publicly accessible areas, including:  the Imperial Chapel, the Natural History Museum, the National Library, and the famous Spanish Riding School that are on the grounds.
