Kangaroo Island, Australia – summary
Kangaroo Island is a great place to visit for several days or more.
There are flights to Kangaroo Island, but most people take the SeaLink ferry. Through SeaLink you can also take a bus ride from Adelaide to the ferry port to go to KI which is a convenient way to get there.
Kangaroo Island was my favorite place in Australia (I think Tasmania could have been #1 if I’d stayed longer). It has many attractions. So far, I’ve had blog posts about:
- The lighthouses
- The mailboxes
- Little Sahara
- Flinder’s Chase National Park
- Kelly Hill Caves
- The seals and penguins
- Great ice cream
And I may add more posts in the future, but those should give anyone who wants to go there a good idea of the some of the main attractions on the island.
Plus as an added bonus, the driving is really easy even though it’s on the “wrong” side of the road because it’s not heavily trafficked, so a great place to start an Australia trip to get used to the “wrong” side driving, in a relatively controlled environment.
