Stephansdom, Vienna, Austria
St Stephan’s Cathedral, also called Stephansdom, is a well known landmark in Vienna, and the main Catholic Church in the city.
The Cathedral survived World War II relatively unscathed, leaving you free to see the old carvings and decorations as the building expanded over the years.
Portions of the cathedral are free, other portions (like the towers) require tickets. There are fine details everywhere so look in all directions and try to go on a sunny day when the interior is well lit.
