Traveling ecologically
There are many things you can do to cut down on the impact your travel has on the environment.
Of course, you can buy carbon offsets for your flight, but there are more simple examples of things that help the environment.
1. When you travel, take an environmental kit with you, minimally, a reusable:
- shopping bag
- bottles for cold and/or hot beverages
- container with lid
There are even collapsible silicone coffee cups and water bottles available new, that can help with weight and packing size of these items.
2. Use public transport if available where you visit.
3. Conserve water where you are staying, by:
- declining daily sheet/towel changes
- taking short showers
4. Pack light to cut down on the fuel needed to transport your belongings.
Happy (and ecologically conscious) travels!
